What to Expect on
the Day of your Ride

Unforgettable horse adventures across Southern California.
We’ve designed your ride day to feel easy, welcoming, and unhurried. Here’s how it typically flows, from arrival to ride.

Arrival & Check-In

We recommend arriving 15–20 minutes early if possible. This gives us time to check everyone in and start the experience without feeling rushed.

When you arrive:

* You’ll be greeted by your guide
* We’ll confirm your booking and collect your signed waiver
* You’ll have time to settle in, ask questions, and take in the surroundings

What to Wear & Bring

Please arrive already dressed to ride.

Wear:

* Long pants
* Closed-toe shoes or boots
* Layers (weather can change, especially near the coast)

Bring:

* A completed waiver (printed or ready on your phone)
* Water
* Sunscreen and sunglasses (recommended)
* Your phone or camera if you’d like photos

All riding equipment, including helmets, is provided.

Safety Talk & Intro

Before mounting up, we’ll gather the group for a brief safety orientation. This is relaxed and beginner-friendly and covers:

* Basic horse behavior
* How to safely approach and interact with your horse
* How to hold the reins, stop, steer, and stay balanced
* What to expect on the trail or beach that day

No prior riding experience is required — we explain everything clearly and simply.

Horse Matching

After the safety talk, we’ll match each rider with a horse based on comfort level, experience, and personality. You’ll have a moment to meet your horse, get comfortable, and ask any last-minute questions before mounting.

The Ride

Once underway, the ride to our main riding area typically takes 45 minutes to about an hour, depending on conditions and the group.The ride is:

* Fully guided
* Calm and unhurried
* Adjusted to rider comfort and environmental conditions
* We allow time to enjoy the scenery, take photos, and simply be present with your horse and surroundings.

Mounting Up

Once everyone is matched:

* We’ll help you mount safely
* We’ll do final tack and stirrup checks
* We’ll make sure everyone feels ready before heading out

There’s no pressure — we move at the pace of the group.

After the Ride

At the end of the ride:

* We’ll return to the starting area
* You’ll dismount with assistance if needed
* You’ll have time for final photos and goodbyes with your horse

There’s nothing required of you afterward — just enjoy the experience and head out when you’re ready.

A Few Final Notes

We keep group sizes small for safety and connection.

Your comfort and the horses’ well-being always come first

Every ride is intentional, relaxed, and never rushed
